Eons ago, in an theory that I totally stole from Star Trek, the Eltarians 'seeded' numerous hospitable planets with genetic material that adapted to each individual planet and evolved into sentient life. This is why so many of the alien races in PR look so much like humans. Well...more accurately, why humans AND all the other humanoid races in the PR-verse look so much like Eltarians. Who, in reality, look an awful lot like humans. They just happen to have much longer lifespans, magic abilities and limited precognition.
