Hmmm... were you trying hard contacts or soft ones? What brand did they try you on?

As someone who has worn contacts for years, I can definitely say that hard ones are the worst. With soft disposables, some brands are definitely better than others. The ones I wear are called Air Optix and are the most comfortable I've ever had- though Acuview is not a bad brand either. They definitely take some getting used to, especially if you are used to glasses. My suggestion re: contacts is going to be to try again, because you are putting something foreign in your eye, and your body is going to naturally try and reject that. It can take 2-3 days before you are able to get your eye sensitivity down enough to actually get them in. Obviously if you don't want to try again, don't, but I do promise it gets easier if you decide to, and any optometrist who didn't explain eye sensitivity to you when he/she gave you the contact prescription is a big ol' bag of dicks.

And of course, if you decide not to do it, it's not the end of the world! So this years cosplay doesn't get there- there are always other cons. It should be fun, and not a whole bunch of stress.

...Of course, you did tell us in your first post not to let you quit, at any costs, but *shrugs*, I can never tell over the internet if someone needs more cheerleading or a *sits and pats your head*, you know? <3 <3 <3 <3

I still think you could do it if you really wanted to, because you're great, but I also think that whatever you decide is the right decision, because you're awesome. <3
