Commercialization is not intrinsically bad. I am glad that new movies are being made, and that they are making money and pulling in new fans. What I worry about is AOS becoming the Trek equivalent of the Bayverse Transformers movies - generically shiny big-budget high-profit action flicks with lots of explosions and a familiar title tacked on for nostalgia appeal.
