pockysquirrelHappy Christmas Eve to all those on my flist who celebrate!
The past few days have been super awesome.thesecondbatgirl came to visit and occupied my couch all weekend, during which time we drank a bunch of wine, ate a bunch of junk food, hung out with all the rest of my favorite nerds, played D&D, engaged in an epic 5-hour marathon game of Cards Against Humanity, watched Carranger until it threatened to break our brains, managed to find ACTUALFAX SUPER MEGAFORCE TOYS on sale at the Toys R Us, exchanged gifts, and outlined what will ultimately become about 50,000 words worth of a very large and profoundly self-indulgent AU fanfic.
And it was good.
El Husbando and I exchanged gifts early, mainly because I got him a Nintendo 3DS and have reason to believe that his family will be getting him games for it. Since we're going to see them this afternoon, it would make very little sense to give him games without giving him the system for it first. So he's now happily puttering with his 3DS, while I happily putter with my own new toy.
You guys, Xyc got me a NEW LAPTOP for Christmas. BEST HUSBAND. BEST.
New Laptop, from which I am presently posting, is a shiny happy Asus with a huge keyboard that I'm still getting used to, and I've decided to name him Tensou. After I get all my files and whatnot transferred over, Pippin the Epileptic Laptop will take a well-earned retirement after nearly five years of faithful service.
Now if I could just get motivated to set down and write my Alpha fic, all would be right with the world.
